28/2/10 - Photos and News from owners of some of 'Reds' not so small babies around Australia ...
Kelly from Queensland and her 3yr old filly out of a TB mare, Abbey's Amy from Western Australia with 2 year olds Baylee & Harry on their first trip to
first few rides under saddle are going very well! the beach, Amy said Harry was a little more causious than his stablemate!
5/1/10 - Finally an update..... its been a hectic year - with the shift, new jobs and our son leaving on his new adventure - I have missed him alot, however it has been nice to have him home briefly for Christmas. We have also found time for our four legged friends who have mostly enjoyed a bit of a holiday for the last few months.
We only had one irish baby this year and she arrived on the first day of spring, she is quite a character, she has just been weaned and is just delightful. More photos coming in the next week.
23/4/09 - We have moved, the horses loaded and travelled really well and they haven't lifted their heads since arriving at the new property. We have two foals due fairly early this season so it has been nice to get the mares settled early. I will endeavour to get some updated photos over the next few weeks and have updated our contact details.
Also a belated February update on young Baylee and
Harry in WA, Amy & Sam are having lots of fun with their
education and training, Harry I understand particularly
enjoys his walks down the road.
26/2/09 - Little Nick is doing well, his true bay colouring coming through, he's going to be a tall boy and can he 'move'!
Congratulations to Erin & Howard in Victoria - going great guns in the show rings with a number of ribbons including Champion Irish Sporthorse.
Our move to Canberra is drawing nearer and it will be nice to get the horses
settled. Because of property & work commitments we need to reduce our
numbers so if you are in the market for a partbred irish horse - now is the time
we are quite negotiable, some are not on the For Sale page.
31/12/08 - Last Day of the Year..... We had a fantasic surprise early Christmas morning..
about 4am, a georgous bay colt we have named ' Nick' after Saint Nicoklas.. it really just
had to be a Christmas type name colt or filly.. we have never had a foal born on Christmas
Day it really is the best type of present.
Thank you so much to my friends Bec & James from 'How High Horses' & their stunning
Warmblood Stallion "Highland Salute"
Ed is such a great asset for Tailsman Sporthorses - he has just the best temperament and
movement to die for.. we see both already in young Nick which is 'really' what we wanted..
he loves to be with us (and show off of course) he is not a shyboy at all, and in this young
edition to our clan .......we are truly delighted! Not for Sale.... LoL
19/11/08 - Update from Erin from Victoria, to say she and Howard
attended their first show, two classes for two ribbons. I'm told 'Howie'was
very well behaved and simply gleemed. Well done with elbow grease Erin.
06/11/08 - For the 14th consecutive year, the Irish Sport Horse Studbook has topped the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) Eventing Studbook Rankings. (Courtesy Irish Horse Board, IRE)
22/10/08 - Great to hear that Baylee, Harry & Howard have all arrived
safely at their new homes around the country. They are settling in well,
and their new owners have told me they are delighted with their
new irish horses. Enjoy & I wish you lots of Irish luck!
Baylee & Harry with Amy & Sam - Perth WA
29/09/08 - This month has just flown and so have some of our youngstock. Two babies off to their lovely new home in Perth with Amy and Sam, I know Baylee & Harry are going to be 'quite spoilt'.
I would also like to wish Erin from Victoria, all the very best with Howard, he has been such an easy young man to have around and I'm sure you will have many years of fun and success with him.
We also have one of our double horse floats for sale as advertised in the October Horse Deals. Please see our For Sale page for pictures etc.
With only one foal expected a little later this season (due to EI frustrations in trying to get mares to studs) I'm actually enjoying having a normal nights sleep, which is fantastic. Ah well for a another two months anyway.
We have also been getting some riding in and intend to take some young ones out to their first comp's in November. So the cycle starts again. Best wishes & happy riding.
5/05/08 - Well I have been slack... look at the date, weaning, work, riding and a few events have come and gone, I haven't updated since March. The weanlings are all doing very very well, all weaned now. Nice full tummy's for winter and like all good irish horses stand at the gate telling you its 'tea time' our last foal Ruby is now weaned and catching up on the others fast. Her mum (by Raffles) is off back to Victoria and I thank Emma for allowing us to have her in our broodmare paddock for a year or so. I hope she has settled back in at home. Funny this year the youngest - Ruby was the one to run around through the trees and jump the fallen logs, definate signs of a keen jumper! Last year it was KT the biggest!
Weanlings May 08 - Photo thanks to Emma
Due to EI we only have one mare in foal . Lovely Quest is in foal to a handsome big Dutch Warmblood 'Highland Salute' owned by good friends Bec & James of How High Equestrian, a Christmas present we can't wait to get! Thanks guys for a fabulous opportunity!
Red's first 'crop' are now rising two and are just starting to look like horses, every one is a pleasure to have around and are just no bother, it is truly hard to think we have to part with some at some stage. I will get some updated photos to the site soon - I promise.
9/03/08 - Weaning time... 4 down, just one to go. All the 'weanlings' have come through this stage extremely well. They're all used to their box, lead & tie, a couple of float loading lessons and they'll be ready for a relax again back out in a larger paddock to grow up.
Although not all of our youngstock is listed on the sale page we endeavor to offer a mixture of 'types' some with more Irish blood in them which will suit variety riders/disciplines/levels. If you see a horse on our website that is not on the for sale page, your welcome to call to discuss your needs.
10/01/08 - With our final foal born just prior to Christmas (a filly we have named 'Ruby') we now have five healthy foals on the ground for 2007. It is sad to have the last of the Coleraine Redemption foals but very pleased with every one of them.
9/11/07 - For the 13th consecutive year the Irish Sport Horse Studbook has achieved the prestigious title of the leading studbook in the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses Eventing Rankings 2006/2007.
The highest placed Irish Sport Horse in the individual rankings was McKinlaigh (ISH) ridden by Gina Miles (USA). The ISH Studbook finished on 1238 points, over 100 points ahead of the Selle Francais Studbook, which finished in second place. (Courtesy Irish Horse Board, IRE)
7/11/07 - Published today... The website is still very much in development so please bear with us over the next few weeks while we get all pages up and running.......
